Where do the viruses in a computer come from?

3266>viruses are malicous peices of code written by idiots to harm or damage one or many computers

most viruses start of as a malicous file sent to one e-mail address and then spread over the rest of the internet

this happens by users not recognizing the file as malicous and sending the file(which may be disguised as a game, screensaver or photo)to a freind who will then forward it and so on

some viruses attach themselves to your e-mail address book and send the virus to every name on the book

other viruses sit on your computer for long periods of time and dont start to infect until a pre set date

p.c security is so important these days as there is so many viruses on the web and hundreds of new ones discovered each day

allways make sure you have up to date anti-virus software installed as well as anti spyware software and a 2 way firewall(windows firewall is only 1 way(incoming traffic))

good luck!
Reply:Sent in email attachments which the computer user is stupid enough to open, or from visiting "inappropriate" websites (mostly porn).
Reply:boom chick a wow wow
Reply:They are all created by individuals who for some reason want to cause mayhem !!

Maybe they get a kick from sitting back and watching the effect

Maybe they are angry with something

Maybe it makes them feel famous (or infamous)

In any case they are best avoided by installing good anti-virus software and keeping it up to date very regularly.

Reply:On-line activity's, if you have no anti-virus or firewall on you PC then that's were they come from. every time you connect to the Internet you are open to attack. so you have to protect your PC by installing a firewall to stop things coming down and an anti-virus to clean things up when they do come down. Hope this has explained a little PC MAN
