Help on computer viruses?

3353>what do you do when your computer automatically restarts randomly and whenever you scan it restarts ?

Well the first logical thing we'll want it to do is stop restarting so that we can get rid of the malware. So:





1. From the desktop right click on My Computer.


2. Click the Properties option.


3. In the System Properties window click the Advanced tab.


4. In Advanced click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.


5. In the Startup and Recovery window uncheck the Automatically restart check box.


6. Click Ok.





Now if the computer generates an error it should not automatically restart and enable you to display any errors your computer may be experiencing.





Next, consider downloading some good Anti-Virus/spyware/adware programs.


Some award-winning ones include Ad-Aware, Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy, and AVG Anti-Spyware.





Download those three free ones, run, and delete any malware they find. Next, scan your computer with some hardcore free online scanners like Panda ActiveScan or Trend Micro Housecall, both of which are free. Let them delete everything they find.





Lastly, install a reputable firewall to keep from getting re-infected. My recommendation would be Zonealarm firewall.





Make sure to regularly update the Anti-Virus programs you downloaded, and scan at least once a week.

Reply:If you have anti-virus run it . Same for anti-spy. If you don't have either, install them. To help avoid these problems in the future, install Firefox as your default browser.
