I'm downloading music, i dont want viruses. Can someone give me a free virus scanner for music files?

Reply:Im using limewire and when it said their is a virus i didn't download it so I'm guessing the rest in their is safe and they let you know when their are virus's.
Reply:There isn't a program that JUST deals with viral music files. Just try and use the one that on your PC. If you have a windows mashine there should be a free virus scanner that comes with it.





Morpheus sucks by the way. Use something else, please.
Reply:for one, if you dont download anything but .mp3 files or .wma you should be fine. Try using frostwire, its free downloader program. as for a free virus use avg free.

Reply:You shouldn't have said that aloud but anyway I suggest getting AVG free and also getting something like Limewire or Imesh. Personally I don't use them but my friends said they worked pretty darn well. The AVG free is a virus protection program that for free (obviously) and it's good.

Note: The way I have mine set is to only notify me that updates are availiable, but to not download them automaticaly. Then I can check to be sure I get just the ones I want. I then click on "custom", and after the updates have been downloaded I look them over to see which ones I want, then disconnect from the net, disable firewall and anti-virus program, and then install the updates, and then re-enable the firewall and anti-virus programs before reconnecting to the net.
