Reply:You can get virus's but not all the time, uhm.. depends what files you download... but mostly its safe as long as you have like a virus program on your computer.
Reply:more likely than not. have a good defense of a security suite in place or at least an anti-virus prog. the stuff obtained off limewire can be vicious also. do your scans. do your discipline. take your chances and happy computing.

Reply:You won't get viruses or screw up your computer simply by downloading Limewire. Downloading music and videos is relatively risk free, but downloading some programs and whatnot is a little more dangerous. Always have a good AV program running (AVG/Avast!) and use some common sense. I've used Limewire for probably 5+ years and have never had a problem.

Reply:It does not matter what you downloaded but from where you downloaded it.
Many sites that offer programs and games for free download just for one reason -- they try to get the trojans (and viruses) over to your computer. The trojans (and/or viruses) will then be activated when you start running the program or the game and your computer will then infected.
Hence you need updated and effective Anti-Viruses programs to keep them away from infecting your PC.
Reply:i have it and it's been about a year and it's been okay, just make sure you only download music files and you'll be fine. I haven't gotten any viruses.
Reply:depends what you download...i would use www.torrentbox.com or torrentportal.com instead....they are a better place to download games and programs...for music only use limewire...you can down limewire pro from torrent sites...you will need to download bitlord to download torrent files
