3342>okay so my computer runs extremly slow and ive tryed just about everyything.
now im thinking of saving all my documents/music onto a usb and keeping my pictures on my photobucket.
then after i do this, im going to reboot my computer.
is this a good idea?? should i put my photos somewhere else. should i not reboot it? any suggestions? i really need some help:) thanks
Reply:when you turn the computer on press F10 system recovery you can choose the option of saving important files
Reply:You should make sure you have no virus's before saving off your pics and such. I would also try running disk cleanup and defrag the drive and other things before reformatting the hard drive. I very rarely reformat, people do that way to quickly and mostly it's not needed.
Reply:Reboot wont do anything to your files a Reformat will. I would run a virus and spyware 1st
Reply:Well What i would do in this case is first im sure you have intenret lol
go to www.google.com and type in AVG Free and download the free version of it, it works greats (true me) and then go to www.download.com and type in the search bar "spybot" and download it as well
use avg free setup and havfe it scan, it will take hours! like overnight hours, then let it reboot, then let spybot scan, that would take a few hours, it should be good then, avg free works VERY WELL
then every week or so, do a scan.
i hope that helps =]
