Reply:Download Grisoft's AVG free edition. It is a free, highly-recommended anti-virus program. Make sure you download it directly from the Grisoft site. Once that has downloaded, run the file and install it on to your PC. Now re-start your computer in 'Safe Mode'. There may be a more sophisticated way of doing this with Windows XP, but otherwise, hit F8 repeatedly during Start-Up until you are offered the choice of how you want to start windows.
Choose the 'safe mode' option and once your desktop is loaded (don't worry, it will look a little strange on safe mode) launch AVG and run a full virus scan. If you have anti-spyware programs, it would be a good idea to run these also. When AVG has finished scanning and identified all the problems, follow the instructions on how to deal with them. If AVG is unable to deal with them, you may need to refer to the Grisoft site on how to remove the problems manually, but for that you will need to restart your computer in normal mode, in order to have internet access.
If all else fails, you may need to have your computer repaired, which may involve a wipe-clean, but that is a last resort, as you would lose many of your files and software. Good luck, I hope it does not come to that!
Reply:reinstall your computer with the disc if you dont have one buy one for windows xp.
and also remember dont go downloading crap like crazy because thats how you got so many viruses
Reply:download avg
Reply:You can't possibly take anything off your computer without downloading it for free, you have to download it. Go to CCleaner.com and download Crap Cleaner, it cleans every crap on your computer for free.
Reply:you can try avast antivirus (it's free for home users) but i think it would be best to give format to the whole disc
Reply:No, nothing free. You might consider purchasing Norton System Works from Best Buy - they usually have a pretty good rebate program. It will fix the registry errors, and allow you to scan for viruses as well.
Good luck!
Reply:First let me tell you that I bet my a** that some software scanned your machine to tell you that you have a million problems to later tell you that if you want to fix it you should buy it from them. They are exagerating finding real and also VERY minimal problems. If you want to clean your registry for free you have many choices. I'm giving you this one http://www.majorgeeks.com/Lexun_RegScrub...
Download from any of these mirrors and solve your problem.
Good luck
Reply:In all honesty man....I'd really just redo your comp if you can..
Format, start fresh, because no matter what, you're always going to have some little piece of spyware, malware, or virus lingering behind undetected and it's just going to spread and make loops holes for bigger and better problems...
Next time...do the following..
*Use a good firewall like Zone Alarm and increase your security settings.
*Dump Internet Explorer and switch to Firefox 2.0..
*Install AVG Anti-virus and AVG Anti-Spyware (both are free from download.com).
Avoid downloading crap, like free screensavers and ringtones, and limit your porn activity... lol jk.
Best of luck!
Reply:I think you should just reformat your hard disk drive(s). I don't think an antivirus program could get rid of all those viruses.
