3383>Need a lap top immediately ! Trying to decide if I should get a Mac. Not familliar with them.
Reply:Well they have less viruses, but that doesnt mean they dont get them. As for it you want one... what kind of programs are you going to run? Any types of games kinds of kills the mac, but if your looking at doing any design/movie/archetecture stuff they slaughter PCs. If your only using if for general e-mail, word processing, tec. then its really your choice.

Reply:Yes Macs can get viruses... They just had their first major virus come out in the media recently. Viruses for the MAC OS are a lot less prevalent than those generated for the windows systems.
Reply:So far there are still no viruses for the Mac. There are vulnerabilities that have been found but no viruses. There are a few Malware things floating around but Apple has been pretty good at updating the problem areas. If viruses are what you are worried about I can tell you I own three Apple computers. In that 5 years I have not had one problem with my Macs due to an external virus/bot/bug/worm etc.
Reply:Totally get a mac. There is one virus (current) for mac and It doesn't do much harm. You dont have to buy microsoft word! TextEdit can read and write word files. Macs have much better graphics, with OpenGL everything runs smoothly. In short, Macs are By far better.
Reply:They don't get viruses cuz no one is gonna waste their time writing virus to infect 50 computers. Macs suck balls though, so they arent worth it.
