Do you think anti virus companies make viruses so that we will use their product?

Reply:Back in the day it was always rumored that McAfee did this and it's persisted as an unban legend since then. 90% of all bugs you see today are not true viruses but rather worms based on known exploits and in my opinion if the Antivirus companies were actually writting viruses then the virus code would be much better.
Reply:You may as well believe that Nigerian guy who has those millions he wants to put in your bank account.





There are plenty of idiots out there with nothing better to do than to try and attack other computers. Norton, McAfee and the rest of the anti-virus software developers have their hands full just trying to keep up.
